Eben
Ezer's skilled nursing facility is staffed with caring and professional
nurses and nurse assistants. Residents are evaluated regularly to provide
as much independence or attention as the person needs. Nutritious meals
and snacks are served to each resident with special dietary needs and
preferences carefully considered. A variety of activities are offered
several times a day in various locations of the facility. Social service
staff and chaplain staff are also available.
Short
term stays may be arranged as "respite care" to allow
family caregivers to take time off or a vacation. Short term care
can be just an overnight stay, or it might even be several weeks.
Special
care is available for residents with memory loss. This unit provides
peace of mind for families who have a loved one with Alzheimer's or
other memory loss diseases. Private and semi-private rooms ensure comfort
and safety. Residents in this unit must meet one of the following criteria:
a danger to self or others, wandering, and/or behavioral issues. The
unit has social service staff,
chaplaincy staff and other staff with special training in caring for
people with memory problems. A full time activity coordinator assists
in overseeing daily activities.
